CO-FOUNDER, GENERAL PARTNER

Lynda Clarizio is Co-Founder and General Partner of The 98. She is recognized as one of the most influential and visionary leaders in digital media, data and technology.

With a 20 year track record of success, Lynda leverages her deep experience as an astute investor, deal-maker and operator growing, scaling and investing in businesses with a focus on data and technology.

Lynda served as President of Nielsen’s US Media business and President of AOL’s global advertising business. She also held CEO, President and other leadership positions at AppNexus, INVISION and Advertising.com, and was a partner at top multinational law firm Arnold & Porter.

She led strategic investing and M&A at both AOL and Nielsen. Notable investments included Google, Amazon and Kayak, and acquisitions included Advertising.com, MapQuest, Gracenote and eXelate.

Lynda has been recognized as one of Crain’s “50 Most Powerful Women in New York,” The Washingtonian’s “Top 100 Tech Titans,” Digital Media Wire’s “25 Executives to Watch in Digital Entertainment,” Advertising Age’s “Women to Watch” and The Washingtonian’s “Top 40 Lawyers Under 40.”

Lynda serves on the boards of CDW, Intertek Group, Taboola, Emerald, Simpli.fi and Cambri, as well as the non-profit Human Rights First. She sits on the Leadership Council of Princeton’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and is an Expert in Residence at Harvard Innovation Labs.

She is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Princeton University.

Joy Marcus is Co-Founder and General Partner of The 98. She is recognized as a digital media trailblazer and venture leader.

Joy brings more than 20 years’ experience investing in, operating and scaling digital content businesses, including several successful exits.

Joy held leadership positions at major media companies, including AOL, Time Warner, Condé Nast and MTV Networks. She also led digital start-ups, including as CEO at venture-backed Bloglovin’. Notable exits included BarnesandNoble.com (IPO) and Dailymotion (acquired by France Telecom).

Joy is a Lecturer and former James Wei Visiting Professor at Princeton’s Keller Center of Entrepreneurship in the School of Engineering and Applied Science, teaching the foundational course on entrepreneurship.

She is a Venture Fellow and former Venture Partner at Jerusalem Venture Partners and Gotham Ventures, a Draper Fisher Jurvetson affiliate. She also was an M&A lawyer at Debevoise & Plimpton.

Joy has been recognized as one of Crain’s “New York’s Women to Watch in Tech,” The Hollywood Reporter’s “Digital Power Fifty,” the National Organization for Women’s “Women of Power and Influence” and Forbes’ “Forty over Forty.”

Joy serves on the boards of NASDAQ-listed Perion, BBC Maestro, Qwire and MUSO. She also is a director of the New York Tech Alliance and Mouse.

She is a graduate of NYU School of Law and Princeton University, and completed the Executive Program in Finance at Columbia Graduate School of Business.
